Plastic Suppliers — Papua New Guinea

Factory-direct plastic sheets shipped into Papua New Guinea

Acrylic, polycarbonate, PVC, HDPE, UHMWPE, nylon and PTFE freighted door-to-door into Port Moresby, Lae, Madang and mine-site — bypassing the middlemen and saving PNG buyers 30-50%.

At Plastics Direct we've spent years building freight lanes between Tier-1 Asian plastics mills and site delivery points across Papua New Guinea. Mining contractors, marine operators, shopfitters and government buyers use us to sidestep the double markup of buying through PNG resellers or repackaged Australian distributor stock — and land certified factory material at a fraction of the local price.

Whether you're wearing out HDPE chute liners at Porgera, glazing a new hotel tower in Port Moresby, fitting out a tuna cannery in Madang or building shop signage in Lae — we consolidate every grade you need into a single container and deliver it to the wharf, yard or site.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Yes. We ship full and part-container loads into Port Moresby (Motukea), Lae and Madang, and can arrange onward road, coastal barge or charter freight to Highlands and island mine-sites. All customs paperwork, packing lists and certificates of origin are handled for you.
Mining and civil buyers order heavy black HDPE and UHMWPE chute liners, wear plate and pipe. Building and shopfitting buyers order acrylic, polycarbonate roofing, foam PVC signage board and ABS. Marine and aquaculture operators buy marine-board HDPE and UV-stable polycarbonate. We supply all grades in a single consolidated container.
Direct sea freight from Chinese mills to Port Moresby is typically 18-28 days. Consolidated shipments via Brisbane or Cairns add 7-14 days but let smaller PNG orders piggyback on existing container loads at wholesale pricing.
Yes. We regularly supply Ok Tedi, Porgera, Lihir, Hidden Valley and Ramu contractors with UHMWPE and HDPE chute liners CNC-routed to pattern, pre-drilled and crated for site delivery. Standard mining-plate stock runs 20, 30, 50, 75 and 100 mm.
We quote in AUD or USD and accept T/T bank transfer, letter of credit for larger container orders, and PayPal for sample orders. Send drawings, a materials list or a photo of what you're replacing and we'll come back with a landed-to-PNG quote within 24 hours.
PNG plastic pricing is typically 2-3x Australian trade pricing once local reseller and freight markups are added. Buying factory-direct through us usually saves PNG buyers 30-50%, and much more on heavy mining-grade plate where local availability is limited.
No. When goods are shipped from Australia to an end customer in Papua New Guinea (or any offshore destination), our invoice is issued GST-free as an export sale. PNG GST and any applicable import duty are paid to PNG Customs on arrival — our shipping agent clears the goods and invoices the PNG-side taxes and clearance fees directly to you, so you deal with one landed cost, not two tax jurisdictions.
For end customers inside Australia, 10% GST is added to our invoice as normal and remitted through our shipping agent — you claim it back through your BAS if you're GST-registered. The tax treatment is decided by the delivery address, not the ordering address, so a PNG-registered company delivering to an Australian project site is invoiced with GST, and an Australian company delivering to a PNG site is invoiced GST-free.
